BiographyNichlas HassingNichlas Hassing's passion for wood began at an early age.In Copenhagen, 16-year-old Nichlas took an apprenticeship with the local cabinetmaker's workshop in which he saved up for his first journey. Nichlas spirit of adventure led him deep into the Brazilian Amazon rainforest, where his fascination of wood increased. Two years later, his curiosity brought him to India. A country that made such an impression on him that he began studying Production Technology at Copenhagen School of Design and Technology as soon as he returned to Denmark. His goal was to go abroad in order to create woodware of the best quality. Nichlas' first step towards his dream began in China – in the Chinese production areas to be exact. Along his journey through China, Nichlas developed new methods of improving the quality of the Chinese manufacturers' work. In order to offer the best service and customized quality solutions, Nichlas relocated his business to China in 2011. Today, Nichlas runs offices in both Shanghai and New York.
